Please join Jannus in congratulating Slobodanka Hodzic on her promotion to Program Director for the Agency for New Americans (ANA)!
For those of you that work in the refugee resettlement field, you have known Slobodanka (Boba) as the steadfast Assistant Director of ANA since 2003, originally starting at ANA as a Case Manager in 2001. Her in-depth working knowledge of resettlement comes not only from the past 15 years of working in the field, but also from her own lived refugee journey. She is known to be dedicated, trustworthy, hard-working and committed to ensuring the best for the clients we serve. She will be an ever present, steady leader and support for the ANA team. Now, more than ever, this knowledgeable experience will help guide the team and our clients during an uncertain time.
Boba has a BBA in Accounting, capitalizing on her 7 years of experience with the City Tax Department in Sarajevo. This expertise has helped to ensure ANA remains compliant with extremely detailed and extensive federal funding requirements. She is also accredited through the Bureau of Immigration Affairs, allowing ANA to provide services in the immigration field and she serves on the Board of Tidwell Social Work and Counseling Services, maintaining a meaningful connection to a critical community partner.
Congratulations Slobodanka! We look forward to working with you in your new leadership role in refugee resettlement.
