I wanted to take a moment to congratulate David Chase for his recent appointment to Project Director for the third cycle of funding for the Covering Idaho Kids (CHIPRA 3) project, which started last week. During his work on CHIPRA 2, working with Lauren Necochea, David improved that program’s success and outcomes by establishing new partnerships, deepening relationships with current partners, building our team of community outreach worker, and improving the project’s online presence.
David is also assuming the role as Project Director for Jannus’s contract with the Idaho Health Insurance Exchange for the role of In Person Assister. While we proposed a much broader program, including several of existing staff, our scope was narrowed down into two areas, Boise and surrounding areas and Twin Falls, with a focus on outreach and assistance to refugees. This work compliments David’s work with CHIPRA. And because of that work and relationships built, David has been asked to be one of the trainers for the Exchange as well.
