Friends in Action is dedicated to providing support for family caregivers through education, caregiver relief, and an annual Family Caregiver Conference. Our unique program helps family caregivers reduce stress, solve problems, build skills, and find help.

Friends in Action provides direct assistance for family caregivers in the Treasure Valley who are caring for frail, ill, or disabled love ones. Through Friends in Action’s Legacy Corps program, highly-trained volunteers provide a weekly break for caregivers of veterans and military family members. Our nationally recognized self-care education programs, Powerful Tools for Caregivers and Living Well in Idaho help family caregivers maintain their own health and well-being. The annual Family Caregiver Conference, a one-day education event held in conjunction with Boise State University’s Center for the Study of Aging, connects family caregivers with quality information, resources, and mutual support.

Friends in Action believes family caregivers matter!
