VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE
5TH ANNUAL FAMILY CAREGIVER CONFERENCE!!
Saturday February 20th from 8am-4pm at Boise State University in the Student Union Building
(see attached flier for additional details)
I am so excited for this day of inspiration, encouragement, education and FUN for Family Caregivers…
And just as excited to be gathering volunteers to join the fun and make this the best day EVER!!!
Volunteers are a key component to this event, and we have a variety of ways you can join the fun.
Check out the following positions, and let me know what you are interested in doing… and if you don’t care, I’m happy to sign you up!
All volunteers will receive an email with specific details on your position, and are welcome to attend the conference free of charge- if you’d like to join us for lunch- we have the covered as well, however confirm you will be eating so we can get an accurate count!
2016 Conference Volunteer Positions:
#1: BREAK-OUT SESSION HELPERS (BOSH) (five people needed from 10:00 am-2:15pm- five people needed from 8:15am-1:00pm )
Two BOSH volunteers are assigned to each Break Out Session to assist the presenter and help attendees find their way to the session.
#3: CONFERENCE GREETERS (7:30-9:00 two people needed)
Greet attendees as they enter the conference- we want everyone to feel instantly welcome and comfortable! Greeters will let people know where to hang their coats, where to get a beverage, tell them where to sit, and direct them to the expo fair.
#4: ELEVATOR OPERATOR TEAM! (6:45am-9:00am and 2:30pm-3:30pm two people needed) The ELEVATOR OPERATORS ‘man’ the elevator and carts the vendors use to set-up and break-down their displays. This volunteer will be opening and closing the doors of the cargo elevator (training provided), and getting the carts back to the conference area for other vendors to use. This is a pretty fun job, but requires someone ready to be physically active opening and closing the elevator door and moving carts!
#5 SUB FRIENDS (7:30-9am four volunteers needed)
These volunteers will be stationed at the entrances of the SUB and at the bottom of the stairs to provide direction to attendees.
#6 PARKING GARAGE TEAM (7:30-9:00AM- two volunteers needed)
These important volunteers will be the first people to welcome attendees after they’ve navigated the sometimes scary drive onto campus and into the parking garage- you will direct them to the SUB and coordinate with FIA staff if there are any issues with free parking.
I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you in February!
