Foster Grandparent Program of the Treasure Valley

When you share your love, time and experience, you have the power to help a child who needs you. Foster Grandparents volunteer in educational based non-profits throughout the Treasure Valley and if eligible, receive a modest stipend for their time. Pre-orientation, monthly training and mileage assistance is available.

Jannus is excited to be managing the only statewide Suicide Prevention Hotline for Idaho. Among states, Idaho is 7th highest in its suicide rate, yet was the last state to get a statewide hotline. The Idaho Crisis & Suicide Prevention Hotline is committed to the prevention of suicide in Idaho.

Legacy Corps Caregiver Support Program

Legacy Corps for Veterans and Military families, also formerly known as Friends in Action, is a national volunteer-powered caregiver support program providing assistance to veteran and military family caregivers by veteran and military family volunteers. Legacy Corps volunteers provide companionship respite, caregiver education, linkages to community resources, and services that help veterans’ families.

Nutrition Works

Nutrition Works is a sponsoring organization for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in Idaho. The program’s goal is to help child care providers (centers, family child care) serve nutritious meals/snacks to children in their care. It does this by providing food reimbursement money and nutrition training to sponsored providers.

Southwest Idaho Area Health Education Center (AHEC)

The Southwest Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is part of a nation-wide system of programs created to improve the distribution, diversity, and supply of the primary healthcare workforce, with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of rural and underserved areas by partnering with educational institutions and state, regional, and national primary care proponents. Southwest Idaho AHEC works in conjunction with the North Idaho AHEC in Moscow and the Southeast Idaho AHEC located in Pocatello and other key stakeholders to promote and support programs that will enhance the health careers workforce. Idaho AHECs are affiliated with the University of Washington School of Medicine WWAMI Program.
